Who is God to you?
We get so caught up in "fear" and rules this world has created with religion, roles, expectations, and how we're "supposed" to be, that sometimes we forget the true essence of who God is.
God is love.
God isn't fear. That's why it says, "Do not fear" 365 times in the Bible. Once for every day. Because we aren't meant to live in fear. We are told to live in complete trust and surrender.
In love.
And when we do, we show the world who God truly is.
God is love.
God is peace.
God is acceptance and grace.
Compassion and understanding
Wisdom and light
God is life
All around us
In the warmth of the sunshine, in the wind, in the waves, and in the trees.
In the childlike joy and dance we see in our children.
In human compassion and connection, and in the light it brings during the darkest of times.
He's in you and He's in me.
God is complete freedom and when we find stillness; find rest, we start seeing the miracles that have been surrounding us all along. The miracles we didn't notice when we were so caught up in fear. In the hustle.
The most beautiful thing is, when we decide to live in complete surrender and trust, God honors that and life starts happening for us.
We start seeing the miracles in our everyday.
We start seeing our deepest desires come to fruition. Not always in the way we imagined.
But he gives us strength through it all. Wisdom to withstand and peace to continue.
God is freedom from the weight this world has put on us; which was never ours to carry in the first place.
Even when we feel this weight on our shoulders, when we're swimming in murky waters or running on a foggy path where we can't see a clear destination, we are held.
We aren't alone.
We are never alone.
God lives within us.
So don't let the fear of this world let you forget that.
Don't let it weigh you down from who you are; who God created you to be.
Because he wants to shine his light through you. He wants to show the world who he truly is.
